It is always a good idea to keep your video drivers up-to-date. However, problems can occur if you simply overwrite your old driver files with the new ones. While convenient, we always recommend doing a clean driver install. Some driver packages allow you to select a clean install as an option.

Always ensure that other hardware components on your PC are updated, including your motherboard BIOS, audio drivers, and all required and recommended Windows Updates.
